TaxolViews: 68

So did the 1st taxol treatment, so far so good. Taking glutamine to hopefully head off some of the side effects. Does anyone have any experience with that? Other suggestions? I have poly arthritis also, so I am concerned about the potential side effects…bone/muscle pain.
Well see! Thanks!

hi Karen, thanks for letting us know where you stand so far,, will keep you in our prayers and ask God to give you the grace and the strength to go through this… which i could give more info on what you are asking for, but sorry, anyway i don’t know why but i have a good feeling about your cancer.. you are blessed and i believe that you shall come through this with flying colors..
Keep up your faith girl and please continue to keep us informed..
God bless and trust…. your smile alone is what makes you so special…

Last A/C chemo done, now on to TaxolViews: 95

Well, as of 7/25 I have completed the A/C chemo. This Friday I start 12 weeks of weekly Taxol treatments. I am hoping they are better than the A/C treatments. My friend here at work got diagnosed with breast cancer last week…hope it’s not the water! Getting through this one day at a time!

Welcome aboard. Your photos show a positive support group. That is wonderful.

Enjoy your time here and look around, you are among friends and fellow survivors.

Just trying to learn how to use this!Views: 171

Hi there gal!
Let me be the first to welcome you
to our Family.

Hug Sherri

Hi Karin, welcome to Blog for a Cure..
It is a heck of a way to start off, by seeing you here,,, but realize that most of the people here are or have been in your situation…
So my advise to you is to keep your chin up, and never give up, no matter how much it sometimes hurts or if someone does’nt understand,,
That is one of the reasons that we are here and are supporters for you while you are also supporting us..
I don’t know where your faith is at but at least for me that is what got me through my 37 radiation treatments plus the 7 chemo treatments
Wish that everything that happened to one would happen to all but it does’nt, as we are all individuals, well the cancer that we have will react differently on all of us.
But one thing is for sure and it all depends on you and your attitude towards this terrible desease…
You must overcome everything that it throws at you.
You must be strong, cheerful ( even though it may be hard) and at time stubborn about what cancer is doing to you, and maybe most importantly you must have confidence that you will defeat this cancer..
You have a very lovely smile, and i bet that you are a great lady,,
So please do not forget your friends here.. they are important to you as you are important to them.
Anything you wish to know ask and i am sure that someone here will be able to help you out ..
By the way ask your oncologist alot of questions
and do not be afraid to ask,, if your not satisfied with something ask until you get an answer that does satisfy you.
God bless you girl,, in a special way and may His grace be enough to guide you through this ordeal.
Anything that i can help you with??? ask
Have a great day and a wonderful week …. Ray

Thanks so much for your words of encourangement Ray! I really appreciate that! The thing that I am learning is that there are SOOO many wonderful people out there than are just amazing! Now more than ever I am learning to find the beauty in each day and keep on smiling. I think in the past I’ve sometimes gotten caugh up in the trivial crap and forgot the smell the roses! Hope you too are doing well and I wish you the best! Karin
